Information for Stallholders

Selling at the SCPA Markets

If you have locally produced product, goods or services you are able to have a stall at the markets. New stall holders can attend their 3rd Market at no cost as a trial for a reduced cost over 3 Markets.

Types of Stallholders

Producer - one who only sells what they produce.
Producer/Agent - producer who sells someone else?s product as well as their own.
Secondary Producer - one who processes produce, creates a product or adds value to a product.
    - This processing must be done on their property or through a local business eg Bega Valley Gourmet Meats' small species abattoir.
     - Products should contain as much local ingredient as possible.
     - Value added product should substantially alter primary base product.
N.B. - All producers must operate within the designated region. An agent can sell environmentally sustainable products provided they are produced in Australia.

 

Stalls Fees

  • $15 per site (non SCPA Member)
  • $12 for SCPA Full Membership
  • $10 for Community (Not-For-Profit) sites.

Further discounts apply for payments made 6 Markets in advance.

Casual sites for one market only, when available, can be obtained by contacting the Market Co-ordinator on the day prior to the market.

 

Applying for a Site

Sites are allocated by the Market Co-ordinator. All prospective stallholders must:

  •     Hold $20 million dollars Public Risk Insurance
  •     Complete an application form.
  •     Sign the declaration at the end of the Application Form.

Operation of the SCPA Markets

The SCPA Market operation is governed by the rules set down by the Bega Valley Shire Council in its Development Application approval, (DA 2001 1905).
The SCPA Markets are run by SCPA - South East Producers through a Market Co-ordinator.
